Anna M. Ranieri, Ph.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Anna Ranieri has helped individuals and groups optimize their effectiveness for more than 15 years. Her practice areas include professional assessment and development, coaching, career decision and transition counseling, team-building, and organizational change management. She has worked extensively with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Anna has assessed individual and team performance and has created developmental plans for employees at all levels of an organization. She has coached employees on how to optimize their job-related behavior communication skills and ability to plan and execute their responsibilities. Anna uses a variety of assessment instruments to help analyze individual and organizational issues. She is certified in the use of the major tools used to evaluate occupational fit, career interests and aptitudes, personality, and leadership styles. She utilizes standard and customized 360-degree feedback measures to evaluate performance and develop plans for change.

She has created and implemented change management and team-building interventions to assist organizations undergoing significant structural changes, such as those resulting from major growth, leadership succession, mergers of disparate teams, and downsizing. She has assisted employees in a wide range of industries and at all organization levels in exploring different career options and transitioning to new careers. Prior to working as a management consultant, she worked in marketing and institutional development.

Anna frequently presents to clients on a variety of topics related to individual and organizational effectiveness and is known as a lively and compelling speaker. She has conducted research on effective decision-making and workplace health, and has developed coursework in stress management and related topics. She has presented her findings at professional conferences of the American Psychological Association, the California Career Conference, and others. She has written articles and book chapters on career counseling.

Anna holds a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Stanford University, an M.B.A. in Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree in English and Italian Literature from Yale University.
