Today's competitive marketplace demands nothing short of consummate leadership skills. Executives are expected to improve efficiency and effectiveness (cutting costs while increasing both productivity and quality, sustaining employee morale, complying with regulations, and otherwise meeting or exceeding the increasingly high expectations of diverse stakeholders.) Even "natural leaders" aren't born with the full range of competencies required to perform at this level.

The Center designs and delivers its own training modules. Our customized leadership and management training provides the theory, tools, and practice executives need to thrive in a range of demanding circumstances, whether they occur in start-ups or mature organizations or anywhere in between. We teach empirically validated approaches, not just business leaders' opinions - facts not best guesses. We emphasize the importance of "situation-specific leadership," ie, that a leader's approach in a given situation will need to vary depending on the specific demands placed on the organization at a particular time as well as upon the individual capabilities of those being led.

Our training programs include in-house leadership academies that highlight best practices in a range of leadership-related competencies, customized to be consistent with the core values of the organization. We adapt training programs to fit into busy schedules, recognizing the high value (and cost) of employee time. We use training approaches that have been empirically validated to support meaningful, lasting change. We incorporate company-specific issues for real-life impact. We also offer a train-the-trainer approach and help design training materials when that is likely to be feasible and more cost-effective for the client.
